Our Content

All original content on this Site — articles, guides, graphics, and branding — is owned by HonestGun.com or used with permission, and is protected by copyright law. See our Terms of Service for what you can and can’t do with it.

Reporting Infringement

If you believe content on this Site (including a comment left by another user, once comments are enabled) infringes your copyright, send a written notice to legal@honestgun.com that includes:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or someone authorized to act on their behalf
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
  3. Identification of the material you claim is infringing, and information reasonably sufficient to let us locate it (e.g., a URL)
  4. Your contact information — name, address, phone number, and email
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf

Upon receiving a complete notice, we will review it and remove or disable access to the identified material as appropriate.

Counter-Notice

If material you posted was removed and you believe it was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to legal@honestgun.com including:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the material removed and where it appeared before removal
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, address, phone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or, if outside the U.S., consenting to jurisdiction in the state named in our Terms of Service)

Repeat Infringers

We may, at our discretion, terminate the ability of any user to submit content to the Site (e.g., comments) if they are found to be a repeat infringer.
